Happy new year people, it’s a new year and a new decade and things are going to be great this year for all of us. We’ve been through a rough 2009 with the global recession and everything but I think that the time is right for us to move out and get a new more optimistic perspective on life.

I spent a month in the Caribbean over Christmas and that was great. Loving the heat and the relaxation that being in the Caribbean is like. The food was great, the beaches were wonderful and lots of fun parties helped things along.

I haven’t gone back to work as yet but I think that will happen next week. After so much rest and after being away from home for a month, I have a lot of admin to get through before going back. Besides, it’s always good to take the extra time at the beginning of the year to set some goals and ease your way back in after the holidays, what do you think?

Anyway, wishing you the best, have a great week and I will try to post more often on the blog to keep my readers in touch with what I am doing

Of course Christmas means just one thing, PRESENTS!!!

I have to find presents for my mum, brother, uncle J and little sis M, that’s the fam sorted out.

This year my list is SHORT, because money is TIGHT!

One thing I thought about was getting some craft type items, especially from my mum, who likes things like that. I’ve been checking out longaberger baskets as they seem to be popular, and having searched around it seems that the cheapest ones are to be found on Ebay.

I don’t think I paid over the odds for it. Yeah it’s an old car, a 93 Jeep wrangler, but I think they are wonderful rugged cars that are really fun to drive in the summer.

Watch this space for piccies of my new gem!

sooooo can’t sleep

Do my boots make me? I was walking down the road one day last week, after finishing a hard day’s work. Minding my own business I was when I passed two blokes walking the other way.

One of them was quite burly, the other looked like a bit of a geek, but I didn’t pay them much mind, just head down and tromping my way to the undergound. Then I heard the smaller of the two murmer to his friend, ‘Who wears those type of boots at five o’clock of an evening?’, to which his burly friend replied ‘A prostitute.

I could not believe my ears, but I kept on walking. I was not going to give those bastards the satisfaction of a tongue lashing. Imagine! making an assumption about a woman based on the rype of boots that they are wearing. It is so rude.

Who am I, why do you want to know? I guess who I am will become clearer over time, if I manage to kep this little blog going. I am trying it out for now, better to have my name rather than a free blog on blogger or something. Is it an ego thing I don’t know perhaps. Sort of like the vanity plate you have on your car.

My mate Dominic hates vanity plates. He says anyone who thinks they look good is a plonker. I don’t disagree with Dom much, but I think perhaps calling everyone with a personalised number plate a plonker is a bit trong.

I love D though, he’s been my friend for life, well for what I call my life, the one that started when I got out of that dreaded home and found my real family again. But that’s way too much info way too soon.

laters on that
